FAQs
A headshot is a traditional “head and shoulders” photograph typically shot against a white, grey or black background or sometimes, a location. A headshot is traditionally used for a profile image and is great for updating your social media or your printed material (e.g. business card or brochure). A brand photography session differs in the volume and type of photographs. It tells the story of your business through a variety of environmental portraits, product shots, action photos, and headshots that you can use to promote your business on your website and in social media. Think of brand photography as your own personal stock photography for your business.
Absolutely. A lot of people prefer to head outdoors and use the natural surroundings as a backdrop. Weather permitting of course.
While all images will typically have some level of post production and image correction, full retouching is usually reserved for headshots. If clients would like to request professional retouching for other types of photographs, it can be added to the cost of your package.
How soon you will get your images will depend on volume and other factors. In some situations images can be delivered in 2-3 business days while larger orders may require several weeks. The timing for delivery will be discussed together at the start of any job so that there are no surprises.
Following a photo session, you will be provided with a link to a private gallery for viewing and selecting your photographs. After your selection of photos has been processed, final high-resolution JPEG copies will be made available to download from the gallery.
All photographs I take are in RAW format and in colour. Any black and white treatments are done on copies based on the original (you always have access to the colour). The choice of colour or black and white is your choice and will be discussed together before the start of any session.
Files are generally kept for a year following the date of delivery. Clients are responsible for downloading their files upon delivery and maintaining their own backups. After the year has expired, I will make every attempt to safeguard the files but there is no guarantee.
